Scheduler Interface for JOB/SCAN
New JOB/SCAN Offering Streamlines Creation, Maintenance, and Validation of
Applications in TWS
Fort Lauderdale, FL - April 25, 2005 - Diversified Software, the premier provider of Job Control Language (JCL) software products and services, today announced the availability of a completely integrated interface for IBM's Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) at the ASAP/TWS User Conference. Using the TWS program interface, the new TWS interface in JOB/SCAN fully supports TWS Job Tailoring features and allows JCL maintenance and validation at every stage of the development lifecycle.
"The new TWS Interface for JOB/SCAN provides users results with improved speed, accuracy and dependability in managing their JCL", said Dean Harrison, Implementation Analyst, Diversified Software. "For example, in order to get accurate results in locating potential errors, the scheduler variables embedded in JCL have to be resolved exactly as the scheduler would submit them - otherwise you can get false errors. And, since the jobs don't run in a vacuum, the sequence in which the scheduler is going to handle the jobs is also critical to finding errors previous to production."
